Chipmunks
For scouts 2-4 years old
The Chipmunks are the youngest section of Outdoor Service Guides. Since younger siblings often tag along to meetings, this program gives them activities to do outdoors while the older siblings work on their skills.
The Chipmunk program is a relaxed yet organized group. They work in a group to learn taking directions and sharing, playing memory games, and singing songs. It’s meant to be loosely run with most things being optional, including the uniform itself. Think of it as an organized play date while the older siblings work on their badges. This informal scouting leads into the formal scoutcraft they will start doing when they turn 5 and scurry up to becoming an Otter.
Uniforms
Chipmunks may wear a uniform of a bright yellow shirt and red necker. We use this combination for safety, so these littlest scouts can easily be seen no matter where they are playing.
All uniform items are optional.
